Welcome to the Eckard Scrolls

About 10 years ago, likely between 2008-2018, I had a dream. (One day, maybe I'll find the journal entry that proves when it actually happened.)

In this dream, there was a brother and a sister, lightning, marbles in a fancy box, and a lake. There was also a strange creature that was kind of like a dog, or a pig, or a cat, maybe a badger. 

That dream was the very beginnings of The 7 Boxes of Eckard. I've been building the world, the creatures, the characters, and the plot for about 10 years. In 2025, I finally starting writing book 1, The Bamboo Root. 

​And now, in January of 2026, I'm starting a blog on my website to chronicle my epic writing saga, my progress, the fun things, the hard things, you name it.
